Do you have a prescription for a certain medical condition? You are one of the many then. In fact over 50% of Americans take at least one type of prescription drug regularly and staggeringly over 80% of Americans take some kind of pharmaceutical drug, like Tylenol, on a regular basis. However, as unbelievable as this may seem, there are some prescriptions that should have been scrapped from inception, some that we have a hard time believing the FDA actually approved. Are you taking one of them?
The first worst prescription pharmaceutical drugs are Vicodin and Oxycontin. These are listed here not because they have the worst side effects, but because they are the most freely available and the most abused. In fact, Vicodin and Oxycotin account for more deaths than ALL of the illegal drugs, like cocaine, meth, heroin, LSD, etc., combined. The reason is because alcohol should never be mixed with either Vicodin or Oxycontin. Yet almost all of those who abuse these drugs combine them with alcohol. The amount of pills taken should not be more than 1 or 2 at a time. There are those who will take 4 or more pills at a time. Combine those 4 pills with alcohol and you have a recipe for disaster.
There are certain ratings used by research facilities which rate drugs based on their benefit versus risk ratios. What is difficult to understand is why there are certain drugs that are rated as “worst drugs” meaning that there is very little benefit and very high risk, yet some of them are still approved by the FDA. The drug Vioxx, an arthritis pain relief medication, was recently removed from the market. People who took Vioxx had a significantly higher risk for heart attacks, or perhaps better said is a bunch of people died from it. It is one of several banned pharmacy drugs, most of these being weight loss drugs. The FDA has banned these drugs, however they can still be illegally acquired online.
Third we will cover the drugs with the worst side effects. For example a drug that the FDA has approved and it is still on the market is called Mirapex, which is used to reduce the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Many people who take this drug develop amnesia. Amnesia is also common among those that take cholesterol drugs. As one man relates, Duane Graveline, a former astronaut, reported coming back from a short walk and not recognizing his wife while he was taking Lipitor. Then he lost memory of any events beyond his high school graduation. One drug that is designed to help deal with menopause symptoms is called EvaMist. However its side effects include cancer, stroke, heart attack, blood clots, and even dementia! How bad does your menopause have to be for you to be willing to take those kinds of risks? Chantix, a drug used to help quit smoking, causes people to commit suicide. Lariam is a drug given to soldiers and tourists to help stop the spread of Malaria but often time will cause those who take it to have intense hallucinations and psychotic behavior. Many who take Plavix, a medicine that is supposed to help prevent heart attacks, vomit blood as a side effect. How is it that the FDA deems these drugs as acceptable to be used by the public?

Researchers have long known that laughter boosts the immune system, lowers cholesterol and blood pressure, and reduces stress. In a preliminary new study, psychoneuro-immunologist Lee Berk and his team at Loma Linda University in California show that the parallels between laughing and exercise go even further: Shifts in appetite hormones following a case of the giggles resemble the effects of a moderate session at the gym.
Berk measured blood levels of ghrelin, a hunger-regulating hormone, before and after 14 study participants watched 20 minutes of humorous TV (selected from a menu including Saturday Night Live, Bill Cosby’s stand-up, and Seinfeld). He then compared the data with hormone levels recorded before and after the test subjects watched the distressing opening battle scenes of Saving Private Ryan. Regardless of the order in which they saw the clips, people’s ghrelin concentrations spiked after the funny session, “just like after a workout,” Berk says.
Elevated levels of ghrelin signal the brain that the body is using energy and will soon need more fuel. Laugh therapy will not replace exercise for weight loss, then, but it could help people with conditions that cause appetite loss, such as depression and chronic pain. Berk is now studying whether laughter can also reduce inflammation associated with many illnesses, including cancer and heart disease.

For office workers, especially those that have a habit of sitting long or computer type often found complaints of pain in the back. At first the pain that arises only in the form of mild pain, with the passage of time the pain will increase in intensity and interfere with our work productivity.
Know the Structure Squad
Ridge is composed of 24 pieces of the spine (vertebrae) in which each – each separated by pads of cartilage or also called disc.
Topmost arch is a segment of the cervical (neck), thoracic segments continued (back) and the last lumbar segment.
Supported by the back muscles of the back, abdomen, waist and legs strong and flexible. The whole muscle’s function is to hold the spine and the disc remains in the normal position.
While the disc or pads of cartilage serves as a drag shocks, thus allowing the joint – the joint move smoothly.
Causes of Back Pain
1. Posture
Obesity (overweight) and less precise movements for many – years will result in abnormalities in the muscles, disc and back pain.
2. The habit of sitting the wrong
The sitting position is wrong or not an ergonomic chair that will cause back pain. This is due to the backbone and muscle tissue of the body is forced to keep the excess.
3. Lifting heavy loads with the wrong position
4. Muscle tension from everyday stress – day.
In case of weak and stiff, your back muscles have seizures that cause the flow of blood carrying oxygen become blocked, resulting in painful
5. The use of high-heeled shoes, lack of exercise, as well as the aging process.
6. Backbone structure is less well
Could be caused by a congenital birth.
How to Prevent Back Pain
7. Good posture
Good posture will protect from injury because of the burden is spread evenly to all parts of the spine.
8. Correct sitting position.
Correct sitting position is to sit by dividing body weight so that not only rests on the waist only. Relaxed sitting position with the posture is tilted 135 degrees, whereas when typing at the computer sit in an upright position 9 degrees. Correct posture and proper seat model will help prevent back pain.
9. Interspersed with standing and sitting perengangan
Do not sit for long periods, interspersed with stands, street or mild Gymnastics
10. Lifting weights with the correct position.
This is done must be in a proper way, so do not Making waist as one – the only pedestal.

Reliever medications or pain relievers often becomes an adult friend to relieve pain in the body. Unfortunately, people often become dependent on pain relieving drugs and had overdosed to cause death.
According to a new report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), prescription pain relievers (painkiller) which does not exactly have caused death of 15,000 people in the United States each year.
“While drug opioid-based pain relievers are prescribed by doctors has caused the death of as many as 40 people per day.” It can already be categorized as an epidemic, “said CDC Director Dr.. Thomas Frieden as reported from CNNHealth, Wednesday (11/2/2011 ).
Deaths from overdose of the painkiller overdose deaths now exceed the number of heroin and cocaine combined. “Deaths due to abuse of prescription painkillers has caused the death of 3-fold more since 1999,” said Gil Kerlikowske, director of National Drug Control Policy.
According to data published on 1 November 2011 prescription painkiller oxycodone is often abused (Oxycotin), methadone or hydrocodone (Vicodin).
But there are many brands who also abused other drugs, among others:
1. Oxycodone formulations: including brand Oxyfast, Percolone, and Roxicodone
2. Oxycodone in combination with other drugs: including brand Endocet, Percocet, Percodan, and Xolox
3. Hydrocodone: Lortab, including brand, Tussionex, and Vanacet
Drug abuse is more common in men than in women, whites more than other races, more in rural than in urban environments, and more people of middle-aged than in young and elderly.
CDC recommends that doctors should also monitor their patients so as not to abuse these drugs. So it can prevent many people from drug addiction.
Doctors are also advised to prescribe painkillers opioid-based only if necessary. Kerlikowske said that, the American government has set a goal of reducing the abuse of prescription drugs by 15 percent in 2015.
